Surprisingly pleasant for a roadside stop worthy of a visit. Given the geography and location, the food, service, and atmosphere is definitely above expectations. Very nice. Good selections of menu options and a well stocked bar. Friendly service staff and ample parking in the back. Decor very woodsy and fitting for the location and theme. Clean restrooms. Recommended.

Speaking as a chef I came for Father's Day brunch, but I didn't realize it was a buffet. (i love buffets) I just wasn't expecting it. Everything was cooked perfectly. I wish i had an option for 4.6 stars for the food, but I just can't give 5 stars on their food for only trying a buffet where they would usually run a full menu. The bacon was thick, and the perfect balance of crispy/soft ratio. The biscuits were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. The scrambled eggs were not bad as far as buffets go. Most brunch buffets overcooked their scrambled eggs but not farther lake house! I prefer my scrambled eggs on the softer side, but that's just preference. All the fruit was fresh ripe and vibrant. Bottomless mimosas are always a good time & i never had to ask for a refill. The service was impeccable. All in all it was a 5 star experience from a team that clearly cares about what they do and who they serve. I will be back to this cozy restaurant/bar to try other offerings.

We enjoyed a Mother's Day celebration dinner at Fargher Lake house. I had house smoked salmon Mac & Cheese that was baked to finish it, with 2 garlic bread sticks. My wife had the meatloaf hamburgers. Both where well presented and tasty. The Best part was the service. We got all the attention we needed without the staff overwhelming us.

Absolutely recommend. We had a table of 7 and tried a wide variety of items. Everyone was satisfied and pleased. I personally had the grilled cheese sandwich with alfredo sauce. Never thought a grilled cheese sandwich could be so delicious. Also tried the steak bites as an appetizer. Great service, large tables, and a very inviting atmosphere. It's well worth the drive.

We enjoyed a great dinner. Amber, our waitress, guided us through the extensive menu and made great recommendations. We had: candied brisket (appetizer), happy hour cheeseburger (perfect portion for a dinner), the chicken-fried steak (includes a huge amount of mashed potatoes with crispy brussel sprouts smothered in a light gravy) with a take-out bread pudding desert. Plus a margarita and beer. All delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully crafted. The atmosphere is woodsy and comfortable.

Great place to eat after a long hike! They allowed us to have our dog with us in the outdoor seating area. The waitress was very attentive and brought us a bowl and fresh water for our dog. Fargher lake burger was juicy and delicious.

Super yummy food. Always have trouble deciding what to order! Fries last time were a little undercooked. Desserts to die for! Especially that peanut butter pie!
